A minimalist musical journey
Clément Merienne Piano/harmonium
Pierre-Antoine Despatures Double bass
Clémence Baillot d’Estivaux Cello / Song
Mozart said that he wanted to place notes that love each other together. The three musicians of Vera Desti – Clémence B. D’estivaux (cello and song), Pierre-Antoine Despatures (double bass) and Clément Merienne (prepared piano and harmonium) – do just this, based on their love of travelling through space and history. They develop songs that are part of the heritage of humanity, traditional ancestral themes, in the manner of electronic music, in a totally acoustic manner, moving from one country to another, and from one century to the next, using musical processes inspired by modern technologies, modelling sound materials with age-old instruments.
