A voice and a bow for free music
Lola Malique Cello
Armed with her bow and, above all, her impressive talent, French cellist Lola Malique stands out for her individual style and exceptional virtuosity. Moving between contemporary music, poetry and song, she evokes lost time – suspended in a solo performance with various influences. This eclectic mix includes works written for solo cello (Bernhard Lang, Michel Agnès Magalhaes, Kaija Saariaho), popular French songs (Georges Brassens, Allain Leprest) and her own compositions, sprinkled with the poetry of the great Moroccan poet Abdellatif Laâbi.
