A journey through sound in a blend of Shiite mysticism and Catharism…
The Green Island is the secret residence of the imam hidden in Shiite mysticism. According to Bertran De La Farge, this mysticism has evident and disturbing similarities to the teachings of Catharism, which survive at Strasbourg Monastery, also known as the Ile Verte (Green Island), once home to the Amis de Dieu (Friends of God).
This imaginal world gives rise to a fictional soundscape in which we are taken on a introspective journey where different beliefs are intermingled and mirror each other with the same spiritual affinity.
