While following in the footsteps of Luciano Berio, who composed a cycle of popular “Folk Songs” songs from several countries, the Op.Cit ensemble decided to suggest to the composers Pascal Berne, Emmanuel Scarpaand Frédéric Escoffier that they, in turn, should create arrangements of popular songs gathered from the four corners of the earth.
