Sufi meditation by the great master of the ney
A virtuoso ney player, musicologist and renowned Ottoman music specialist, Kudsi Erguner performs Sufi music from Istanbul to western audiences. He has made a major contribution to the enthusiastic revival of the traditional arts in his native Turkey, particularly the arts connected with Sufism.
With Pierre Rigopoulos on percussion, he invites us to meditate, passing from traditional maqams to improvisation as his inspiration takes him.
