These Christian, Muslim and Hindu women are seemingly separated by hundreds of years, thousands of miles and vast cultural differences, yet they appear to speak the same language. The language of mystical love. Their poetry, an intimate exposure of their very souls, shows how they lived their lives close to the divine and gives voice to the love and the visions that haunted them. This profound affinity comes over strikingly in the alternating reading of their poems by Leili Anvar and the original music composed by the double bass player Renaud Garcia-Fons.
