Traditional songs of the nomads of the Mongolian steppe

Mongol songs, including khöömii, the famous diphonic throat singing, are mainly based on contemplative poetry, pastoral poetry that is generally about listening to nature and the sounds familiar to the Mongols because of their nomadic lifestyle. The extraordinary talent of Bayarbaatar Davaasuren plays its part in passing on this music, which also features his own personal compositions.
