Conférence Le Lakou haïtien : un modèle altermondialiste ?
Haitian Erol Josué is not just a singer and dancer, he's a voodoo priest too. In a performance somewhere between priestly ministration and transcendental chant, he single-handedly embodies the modern side of voodoo, reviving Haiti's musical roots in this original artistic creation. Together with his group, which for the Festival has been joined by traditional percussion players and a dancing choir, he serves up a baroque, post-modern dance in the form of a celebratory loa, the spirit dances that sometimes begin voodoo ceremonies…
