From transe to psytrance
If there is one form of electronic music that connects with the spiritual, the religious and mystic symbolism then it is trance, which originated in Goa, India, and whose roots lie in the psychedelic movement of the 1960s. To close the Festival, Les Détours de Babel has joined forces with the Grenoble-based Hadra association for a Trance Dance that will last all night until dawn, featuring live music and DJ sets performed by Progressive Trance artists hailing from France, Greece and Israel. The warm-up will feature two live works by Aldo Brizzi and Smadj based on traditional religious trance music from Brazil, the Maghreb and Africa
